Free house near Plymouth's Barbican, reopened as an independent pub in 2014 by landlady Donna after previously trading as a tied St Austell Brewery house. Built partly into the remains of the 14th-century Plymouth Castle wall, it serves a rotating range of Devon and Cornwall ales alongside a large whisky selection, with board games and a resident Miniature Schnauzer.
