Forum Books

Forum Books trades from a former chapel on Market Place, a listed building the shop has occupied for decades. Owner Helen Stanton stocks a hand-picked range of fiction, poetry and children's titles through the vaulted interior, and hosts author events and panel discussions with historical novelists and regional writers in the same room. Staff hand-sell titles rather than working from bestseller lists, and take special orders for out-of-print and hard-to-find books. Stanton has since opened two sister shops, the bound in Whitley Bay and the Accidental Bookshop in Alnwick, but Corbridge remains the original site. The shop is open Monday to Saturday.
