The Globe Inn occupies a listed building at 28 Main Street in Fishguard, on a site with a long history of brewing: the Globe brewed its own beer through the nineteenth century until production ceased in 1988, and a home-brew operation, the Black Fox Brewery, ran from the pub from 1981. The current Globe reopened in December 2010 under owners Brian and Jean, after a period as a closed restaurant. It operates as a single-site local pub serving cask ales and pub food to residents and visitors passing through the town. The building sits set back from the street line, attached to its neighbour, retaining features from its older fabric, and remains one of Fishguard's few surviving town-centre pubs with an unbroken link to the trade.
