Grays occupies a Victorian villa on Upper Oldfield Park, on Bath's southern slopes with a view across the city to the Royal Crescent. James and Eliza run it as a family business with twelve individually decorated rooms, each with private parking for one car, a rarity in this part of the city. Breakfast draws on local suppliers where the kitchen can manage it, and rooms keep the villa's original high ceilings and cornicing rather than stripping them out for a uniform boutique look. It sits twelve to fifteen minutes' walk from the city centre and about ten minutes from the train and bus stations.
