HortiCentre

HortiCentre is a family-run garden centre on the A642 between Wakefield and Huddersfield, close to the National Coal Mining Museum at Overton. Trading since 1988, it stocks vegetable and ornamental plants, fruit trees, shrubs, bedding plants, composts and garden sundries, with a seasonal range of bird and pet care products. An attached coffee shop, the Seed Room, serves food and drink separately from the main plant sales floor. The centre offers a local delivery service and wheelchair access throughout. It remains independently owned and run from this single Overton site, rather than operating as part of a wider retail group, distinguishing it from the larger garden centre chains found closer to Leeds and Wakefield city centre.
