House of Grain occupies a Grade II listed former corn warehouse at 59A Wyle Cop, near the foot of the hill in Shrewsbury. Independently run since it reopened under new owners in 2017, it is a split-level bar and kitchen: a ground-floor bar with an upstairs eating area. The draught line-up runs to two rotating real ales plus a changing choice of keg craft beers, backed by cocktails, a curated wine list and milkshakes. Food is served alongside, and the venue is dog-friendly, with an outdoor terrace and free wifi. It is not tied to a brewery or part of a pub group, which is reflected in the mix of guest beers on rotation. Open daily from late morning until midnight, it works as both a daytime cafe-bar and an evening drinking spot in the town centre.
