Juno Design Gallery occupies 159 Argyll Street in Dunoon, open Monday to Saturday through the year and closed on Sundays. The shop combines retail with exhibition space, selling gifts, jewellery, ceramics and original paintings and prints, much of it made in Scotland, and changes its wall displays regularly to show work by local and national artists. Stock ranges from small, affordably priced jewellery and cards through to original paintings, giving Cowal-based makers a retail outlet without needing to sell through galleries in Glasgow or further afield. The gallery sits among the run of independent shops on lower Argyll Street near the pier, in a town whose retail offer has narrowed over recent decades as larger stores have closed. It continues to trade as an independent, single-site business with no other branches in Cowal or elsewhere in Argyll.
