Leona Stewart has worked as a glass artist for more than two decades and runs this studio and shop on Carrick Road, a short walk from Ayr town centre. She designs and makes stained glass window panels to commission alongside fused glass jewellery, dichroic pieces, mirrors and small sculptures, most of it sold through the workshop or at the Handmade in Ayr market held at the Robert Burns Birthplace Museum. Visitors can book a half-day or full-day workshop to design and cut a small panel or suncatcher, learning either the traditional copper-foil and leaded technique or fused glass methods, with all tools and materials supplied. Class sizes stay small enough for one-to-one guidance throughout. Gift vouchers are sold for the workshops, and finished panels are also taken on for restoration and repair work.
