Sandhill House is a bed and breakfast on Southwood Road in Troon, built in the late 1880s as a dower house for the Duchess of Portland and restored for guest use by current owner Elaine Warr after a period standing empty. The red sandstone building overlooks Royal Troon Golf Course, an Open Championship venue, and rooms range from the Classic Double/Twin and the larger Ayrshire room to La Roche, its most luxurious double, alongside a self-catering option in the adjoining Sandhill House Mews. Guests get sea views across the course to the Firth of Clyde, free Wi-Fi, a sun terrace, private parking and the use of the house bicycles. The property is pet-friendly and geared toward golfers visiting Royal Troon as much as leisure travellers drawn by the coastline.
