Loch SUP operates stand-up paddleboarding sessions from Castle Semple Visitor Centre and Country Park on Lochlip Road in Lochwinnoch, describing itself as Scotland's only dedicated SUP race club. Beginner sessions run for around two hours, mostly spent on the water after a short on-land safety briefing, with the operator supplying the paddleboard, wetsuit, leash, paddle and buoyancy aid; participants need only bring swimwear, trainers that can get wet and dry clothes for afterwards. Race training sessions run midweek on Castle Semple Loch through the summer months, moving to a more occasional weekend schedule dependent on weather once winter sets in. Sessions take place on a stretch of loch around four feet deep for much of its area, kept suitable for beginners. The operator runs independently of Clyde Muirshiel Regional Park's own ranger-led activity programme, offering instructor-led coaching rather than unsupervised boat hire, which the park itself does not provide at Castle Semple.
