Cucina Minucci trades as The Junction Cafe and Cakery at 2-4 High Street in Lochwinnoch, run by Ivan and Jo Minucci since March 2006. It is a family cafe serving breakfasts and lunches, with cakes and traybakes baked in-house and a small deli corner stocking Italian pasta, flour and store-cupboard goods. Cooking draws on both Scottish suppliers and Italian ingredients, reflecting the family's background, and the room is dog-friendly with bookings taken for busier times. Sitting near the centre of the village, it works as a daytime stop for walkers and cyclists on the nearby National Cycle Route 7 as much as for locals. Opening is Tuesday to Saturday, roughly nine until three, so it trades as a daytime cafe rather than an evening restaurant, and it has stayed in the same hands for close to twenty years.
