Katie Exton, formerly a sommelier at The River Cafe, Chez Bruce and The Square, opened Lorne on Wilton Road in Pimlico in 2017 as her first restaurant. Graham Brown, who joined at launch and was promoted to head chef in 2021 after working at The Square and Eleven Madison Park, cooks a short, seasonally changing menu of British and European dishes built around Exton's wine list. The dining room seats a limited number of covers a five-minute walk from Victoria station, giving it the scale of a neighbourhood restaurant rather than a grand dining room. Lunch runs Tuesday to Friday and dinner Monday to Saturday, with Sunday closed. The Michelin Guide has described it as the sort of restaurant every street would want at its end. Sous chef Claire Patterson and restaurant manager Gianluca Bono round out the small team.
