Nanima Asian Kitchen& Café

Nanima trades from a shopfront on St George's Road, run by husband and wife Nicky and Lonnie. Chef Nicky and her sister Bea decide each morning what to cook, preparing samosas, pakoras and spring rolls from scratch alongside dishes drawn from Punjab, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam and beyond. There is no set menu and no telephone ordering; diners are invited to see and taste what is on offer that day, and once a dish has sold out it is not remade. Lonnie runs the front of house, with other family members helping in the kitchen at busy times. The café keeps modest hours, closing on Mondays and Sundays, and trades on a menu that changes daily rather than a fixed printed one.
