Carla Grassy opened The Canopy on Dyke Road in June 2025 after stepping back from her original restaurant, 64 Degrees, a few streets away. Michael Bremner, the Great British Menu winner who ran 64 Degrees, oversees the kitchen here too, moving from tasting-menu fine dining to all-day brunch and a simpler wine-bar evening service. The room opens onto a back garden shaded by a large fig tree, with raw plaster walls and exposed brick inside. Brunch runs through the afternoon with dishes such as avocado on toast with miso and chilli crunch, while Friday and Saturday evenings bring a three-course menu built around hand-cut pasta and braised short rib. Coffee comes from Skylark, with beer from Beak Brewery and wine from Ridgeview.
