A small museum at Stoke Mandeville Stadium in Aylesbury, described here as the birthplace of the Paralympic movement. Displays cover the life and work of Professor Sir Ludwig Guttmann, milestones from the 1948 Stoke Mandeville Games to the present Paralympic Games, the development of wheelchair sports and Paralympic ceremonies. Admission is free and no booking is needed. A 3D virtual walkthrough carries British Sign Language, captions and audio description; guided tours and talks are offered to schools and groups.
