The Jewellery Workshop has traded from Market Square in Amersham's Old Town since 1998, making bespoke jewellery and carrying out repairs on-site rather than sending pieces away. The workshop's goldsmiths complete around ninety per cent of repair work on the premises, covering resizing, remodelling and stone-setting, and the business also carries out jewellery valuations for insurance and buys and sells secondhand pieces. Bespoke commissions are designed and made in-house, drawing on customers' own stones or inherited gold, and the workshop also handles luxury watch repairs. It occupies a single shop-and-workshop unit in the Old Town's market square, among the area's cluster of independent traders, and has no other branches. The business has built its reputation over more than 25 years on commission work and repairs rather than a stocked retail counter of ready-made pieces.
