Manse Street, Saltcoats: the main museum in North Ayrshire, housing the majority of the area's artefacts and art collection. Entry is free and no booking is needed. The current exhibition, 'The Fabric of North Ayrshire', draws costume and textiles from the collection. There is a small reading library, printing on request at the front desk, and help with Treasure Trove finds and object identification. Open Monday to Wednesday and the last Saturday of each month.
