Piddle Brewery brews from Enterprise Park in Piddlehinton, a few miles north of Dorchester, using water drawn from the Piddle Valley that gives the beers their name. Founded in 2007, the brewery changed hands in 2014 under managing director Ian Siddall, who oversaw a rebrand and a run of expansions, including a bottling line and, in 2019, cooling equipment that allowed the return of a temperature-sensitive Nottingham yeast strain to the core recipes. The range includes Piddle, a 4.1 per cent premium ale, Cocky, a Dorset IPA, and Dorset Rogue, a best bitter, alongside a gluten-free IPA and a keg lager. A cider line, Ciddle Dry and Ciddle Middle, is produced alongside the beers. Casks, kegs, bottles and bag-in-box formats reach pubs and shops across Dorset and further afield, though the brewery itself is not open to casual passing trade.
