Poyntons Butchers

Poyntons is a family-run traditional butcher with shops in Llandudno and Old Colwyn, built around Welsh Black beef and lamb reared in the Conwy Valley. The counter makes its own pies, sausages, burgers and cooked meats on site rather than buying them in, and stocks Welsh lamb and beef carrying Protected Geographical Indication status. Customers can order online for home delivery or click-and-collect from either shop, but the business still runs as a proper butcher's counter where staff will cut meat to a customer's specification. The Builder Street shop serves the Craig-y-Don side of Llandudno, a short walk from the seafront. Two shops keep the business a genuinely local operation rather than a supermarket supplier, with the same family behind both counters since it started trading.
