Roo's Kitchen

Roo's Kitchen is an independent coffee shop and bistro on Wallace Street, just off Dumbarton High Street, opened in August 2020. It runs as a daytime venue serving breakfasts, light lunches, filled rolls, soups and home baking, along with sit-in afternoon teas booked in advance. The kitchen also prepares food boxes and outside catering under its Roo's Boxes and takeaway arms. The room is small and family-run, with counter service and a short changing specials board rather than a long fixed menu. It sits within walking distance of Dumbarton Central station and the River Leven, drawing regular local trade for coffee and cakes as well as cooked meals. A food hygiene inspection recorded a pass in May 2024. It is one of several owner-run cafes clustered around the town centre.
