The DogHouse

The Dog House is an independently owned bar at 54 Balloch Road in the centre of Balloch, run through Doghouse Bar Limited and trading since 2019. It is arranged as two rooms: a front sports bar with big screens and Sky Sports, and a more relaxed back lounge with a fireplace. Live music is a regular fixture, with guest bands, open-mic sessions and karaoke through the week. The bar is dog friendly, keeping water and treats for visiting dogs, which suits its position on the walking routes around the south end of Loch Lomond. It previously carried cask ale from a nearby brewery but no longer serves real ale, working instead with keg beer, spirits and standard bar drinks. It stands close to Balloch railway station and the River Leven, a short walk from Loch Lomond Shores.
