The PictureFramer Shawlands

The Picture Framer has traded from Shawlands Arcade at 104 Kilmarnock Road since 1993, run by Lorna McLelland, a Guild Commended Framer with the Fine Art Trade Guild. The workshop handles bespoke framing for prints, textiles, medals and memorabilia, along with mount-cutting and conservation framing for original artwork, made on the premises rather than sent out to a central facility. Its arcade unit has become a fixture for southside customers bringing in family photographs, football shirts and degree certificates alike. The business has operated from this single Shawlands address for over three decades without opening a second branch elsewhere in the city.
