Godshot Studio

Sam Amdjadi spent four years travelling through Japan, South Korea, Hungary, Denmark, France, Norway and Mexico researching coffee and craft before opening Godshot on Pollokshaws Road in June 2021. In 2019 he was joined by Lesley Tang, a patisserie chef trained in luxury pastry kitchens who specialises in Far Eastern flavours, and the pair now run the counter together. Alongside espresso and matcha, the shop sells patisserie baked in-house each morning and a curated range of design-led tableware, lighting and stationery sourced from independent makers. The look draws on Nordic and Japanese references throughout, from the ceramics on the shelves to the plating on the pastry counter. A print magazine covering design and makers is in development. Shawlands regulars treat it as much as a shop as a coffee stop.
