The Tower Digital Arts Centre occupies the former St Columba's Church on Sinclair Street in Helensburgh, converted into a three-screen cinema and arts venue that first opened in 2015. Its previous operator ceased trading in 2024, prompting a two-year campaign by local volunteers under the Save the Tower Arts Centre group to buy the building outright, helped by a grant from the Scottish Land Fund. The purchase completed in April 2026, and the venue reopened to the public with a soft launch that June, running a mixed programme of film screenings, live music and theatre. It now operates as a charity run by volunteers rather than a commercial cinema chain, with programming still being rebuilt month by month. The building itself retains features from its church origins alongside the newer digital projection equipment.
