Vinyl Destination trades from a stall inside Coventry's covered market, run single-handedly by Ian, who buys and sells vinyl across every genre and era. It is generally reckoned to be the only surviving record stall left in the market, following the closure of several neighbouring music traders over recent years. Stock runs from seven-inch singles to full album collections, and Ian also buys in CDs, turntables and hi-fi equipment rather than dealing only in records. He offers a free cleaning and inspection service on any vinyl bought from the stall, checking each record under magnification before it goes out the door. There is no separate showroom or online storefront; browsing happens at the stall itself, with prices set to undercut equivalent listings from online sellers. The stall keeps to the market's standard trading hours rather than its own separate schedule.
