Wentworth Woodhouse is a Grade I-listed country house near Rotherham, built from around 1725 for the Marquess of Rockingham and later home to the Fitzwilliam family until 1989. The charitable Wentworth Woodhouse Preservation Trust bought it in 2017 after a period of private ownership and now runs guided tours of the state rooms alongside 50 acres of gardens and a cafe. Its east front, at more than 600 feet, is one of the longest of any English country house.
