Wine Street Coffee has run from 4 Wine Street in Llantwit Major's old town since the company behind it was incorporated in 2014. The cafe sits just off the town's historic triangle of medieval streets, close to the parish church. It serves coffee alongside a short food menu of freshly prepared sandwiches, cakes made on site and speciality teas, with dishes such as coronation chicken sandwiches and peanut butter pancakes named repeatedly by customers. The cafe is dog friendly and set up for both sit-in and takeaway trade, with a small number of tables inside a converted shopfront. It has built a large base of repeat local custom over more than a decade of trading, reflected in several thousand online reviews. As an independent, single-site cafe rather than a chain outlet, its menu and opening pattern are set locally rather than centrally, and it has kept broadly the same format since it opened.
