Ards Brewing Company has operated from a small industrial unit at 34b Carrowdore Road, Greyabbey, since it was set up in 2011 as a one-man operation bringing brewing back to the peninsula after a long gap. Production began on a 100-litre kit and has since grown to a five-barrel plant, allowing cask beer alongside bottle-conditioned and KeyKeg lines. The brewery deliberately keeps its distribution local, supplying pubs and off-licences within roughly fifteen miles of Greyabbey rather than seeking wider distribution or export contracts. Beers including Wee Sally's have built a following among drinkers tracking output on rating sites, with check-ins recorded into 2026. The company remains registered and active with Companies House under its original 2011 incorporation, with no taproom or public shop attached to the brewing unit itself.
