Battletown Gallery

Battletown Gallery occupies a converted coach house at 90 Bowtown Road, on a farm outside Newtownards reached via Portaferry Road and Finlays Road. Alison runs the gallery as a private business, hanging work by more than twenty Irish painters including Brian Ballard, Lisa Ballard and Colin Campbell alongside emerging names. Exhibitions rotate through the coach house rooms, mixing contemporary and more traditional styles, and Alison meets buyers by consultation to discuss framing and placement for specific rooms. The gallery also trades online, shipping smaller pieces beyond County Down. It opens Tuesday to Saturday from half past ten until half past four, closing Mondays and Sundays. The rural setting, well off the main Portaferry road, means visitors generally arrive by car rather than passing trade.
