Betws-y-Coed GardenNursery

Betws-y-Coed Garden Nursery sits on Holyhead Road at the eastern edge of the village, within walking distance of the railway station. The nursery specialises in clematis alongside a wider range of shrubs, perennials and bedding plants, with outdoor sales areas open to browse regardless of weather. Its on-site café, Caffi Madlen, is run under a separate limited company whose sole director, Matthew Wynne, was appointed in March 2019. The café serves hot drinks, light lunches and homemade cakes to visitors combining a plant-buying trip with a stop for refreshment. The nursery has also hosted artisan markets on site, bringing in local cheese, gin, jewellery and street food stalls. Opening times are not published online; visitors are advised to telephone ahead, particularly outside the main growing season.
