Bragdy Lleu was founded in Dyffryn Nantlle in 2013 by a group of local shareholders including Robat Eifion Jones, Rhys Roberts and Myrddin Williams, brewing its first batches the following year on a 1.25-barrel plant later upgraded to six barrels in 2016 to meet demand. Beers are named after characters from the Mabinogi, the medieval Welsh tales rooted in this valley, and are sold from the brewery's own taproom, shop and visitor centre on the Penygroes industrial estate as well as through pubs across North Wales. The brewery ties its output to the culture, history and language of Dyffryn Nantlle, and offers click-and-collect sales alongside UK-wide delivery. Visits to see the brew plant can be arranged directly with the brewery.
