Ivy House

Ivy House occupies a building dating to 1829 on Finsbury Square in the middle of Dolgellau, run as a family bed and breakfast with six guest bedrooms, five of them en suite and one with a private bathroom. Every room has a hospitality tray, hairdryer and television, and the dining room serves a full cooked or lighter breakfast each morning, with packed lunches available for guests heading onto Cadair Idris, which rises directly behind the town. The house keeps secure storage for mountain bikes and motorcycles, reflecting its trade among walkers and cyclists using Dolgellau as a base, and central heating throughout makes it a year-round rather than strictly summer proposition.
