Burwash Larder

Burwash Larder is the farm shop and deli at Burwash Manor, on land the Radford family has farmed for several generations just outside Barton. It began more than 35 years ago as a roadside honesty-box stall selling surplus asparagus and sweetcorn, and has since grown into a full deli and food hall while staying under the same family's ownership. The shop sells fresh produce, cheese, store-cupboard goods and prepared food, and shares its building with an on-site butcher, Leech & Sons, and a grower of organic vegetables. Day-to-day running is handled by Clare and Tinks, while Michael Radford continues to farm the surrounding land. The business was a finalist for Small Farm Shop of the Year at the 2023 Farm Retail Awards. It sits within a wider courtyard of independent shops and a cafe, with free parking.
