Coton Manor Garden is a family-owned garden near Guilsborough, tended by Susie Pasley-Tyler since 1991 and now shared with her daughter Imogen. The garden was laid out in the 1920s by Susie's grandparents and has been developed by successive generations of the family since. Herbaceous borders and mature trees lead through a series of garden rooms down to a water garden. A tea room serves lunches and afternoon teas, with tables set beneath a large walnut tree, and has grown from serving teas two afternoons a week to opening five days. A small plant nursery on site sells stock propagated from the garden's own borders. The garden opens April to September, Tuesday to Saturday, midday to five, with daily opening across bank holiday weekends. It remains privately owned and run by the family rather than any trust or group.
