Creative Strathaven

Creative Strathaven is a community interest company running a shop, gallery and events space at 6A Common Green in the town centre. Incorporated in 2020 as a not-for-profit social enterprise, it shows and sells the work of around 45 local artists, photographers and makers, from prints and ceramics to textiles and other Scottish-made pieces, on their behalf. Alongside the retail floor it stages exhibitions and runs a year-round programme of creative workshops and events, giving residents the chance to learn new skills and meet other makers. The venue is member- and volunteer-supported and reinvests its income in the local creative community rather than distributing profit. It operates from this single Strathaven premises and serves as the town's principal independent arts and makers' hub.
