Quintiliani's opened in Larkhall in 1971, founded by the Quintiliani family who had arrived in the town in 1968. It has stayed in the same family since, with Joe D'Ambrosio and his wife Rosario - who took over from her parents - running the shop from 19 Percy Street for the past 20 years. The counter serves fish and chips, pizza and kebabs, with fish fried in batter that earned the shop a place in Fry Magazine's Top 50 UK fish and chip takeaways list for 2025. Chips are cut and cooked on site rather than bought pre-prepared, and the shop also does a gluten-free batter for customers who ask. It is a single takeaway premises with no other outlets, delivering only to the ML3 and ML9 postcodes around Larkhall. More than fifty years after opening, it remains a family-run business rather than part of a takeaway group, and is one of the longer-established fish and chip shops in South Lanarkshire.
