Croft and Cuan is a food and coffee shop at the Lochboisdale Pier development on South Uist, opened in June 2021 by sisters Christina Morrison and Samantha MacCormick after they started out running a mobile catering trailer. The fixed shop followed once they secured funding for the unit at the ferry terminal. The menu changes regularly and draws on island produce, covering cooked breakfasts and toasties through to burgers, tacos, langoustines, scallops and venison, with vegan options and dietary adaptations available on request. A separate takeaway van tours other parts of Uist on Friday and Saturday evenings. The shop also sells ready meals, home baking and island produce to take away. It serves ferry passengers using Lochboisdale as well as local trade, and has built a consistent run of positive reviews for its breakfast rolls, loaded fries and seafood dishes.
