Skoon Gallery

Skoon Gallery occupies a small building at Geocrab on the Golden Road through the Bays of Harris, and has shown the oil paintings of resident artist Andrew John Craig since it opened in 2005. Craig and his wife Emma run the gallery together, pairing the exhibition space with a café serving coffee, tea and home baking, giving visitors somewhere to sit and look out over the bay. The gallery holds an annual charity raffle, with the 2026 edition raising funds for the MS Society Scotland. It opens Tuesday to Saturday from 10am to 4:30pm through the main season, closing at the end of September. Geocrab sits on the single-track coastal road linking Tarbert to the more populated west side of Harris, and the gallery is one of relatively few commercial stops along that stretch of the Bays road.
