The Westford Inn stands at Claddach Kirkibost on the west side of North Uist, a Georgian building licensed as a pub since 1896 and the only one on the island. Colin and Eilidh Murray took over as a free house in 2015 and have run it since as a stone-walled bar with a wood stove, pool table and a small kitchen. Cask ale comes from the Isle of Skye Brewery alongside a rotating list of bottled beers and gins, and food is served from a locally sourced menu, though booking ahead is advised since tables fill fast. The pub hosts pub quizzes, pool nights and traditional music sessions through the year, plus a small beer festival each August. A bothy behind the pub sleeps two, and camping is tolerated nearby. Dogs are welcome in the bar.
