Michael and Christine opened The Wine Kitchen on The Cross in Lymm in 2016, then added the adjoining Eighteen The Cross restaurant and wine bar the following year. The two units share ownership and a cellar list running past two hundred wines from independent growers, alongside cocktails and continental beers served across both rooms. The kitchen sends out British and European small plates built for sharing rather than fixed mains, with dishes such as hake and king prawn Malabar curry and fresh crab linguine changing through the seasons. The dining room sits close to the village crossroads, a short walk from the Bridgewater Canal. Service runs Thursday to Sunday only, with the restaurant closed at the start of the week. Diners can buy a bottle from the adjoining wine shop to take home after eating.
