Gallery Grounds

Gallery Grounds opened in March 2025 at No. 1 Vincent's Walk in Southampton city centre, an independent contemporary art space directed by interior architect Aycan Erinsel Özistek and curated by art historian Gülçin Pehlivan Tezdiker. The gallery mounts a changing programme of exhibitions featuring emerging and established artists; its current show, Urban Pulse, running from 22 May to 15 July 2026, brings together work from more than thirty participating artists. An in-house café, Coffelogy, operates within the exhibition space, serving coffee to visitors browsing the current show rather than functioning as a separate business. The gallery is built around collaboration and cultural exchange rather than sales alone, with the directors describing the space as somewhere art and everyday life intersect. It opens seven days a week except Tuesdays, giving Southampton a small independent alternative to the city's larger civic galleries.
