Surveyed
Built in 1897 by Robert and Edward Ashby, this brickworks produced bricks until it closed in 1974 and now survives as the country's only complete Victorian steam-powered brickworks. A dedicated charitable trust reopened the site to the public in 2014 and runs it as a working museum, with volunteers firing the original kilns and machinery on selected open days through the year.
