George Bayntun

An antiquarian bookshop and hand bookbindery near Bath railway station, founded by George Bayntun in 1894. The Bayntun-Riviere bindery moved into the current Manvers Street premises in 1939 and continues to bind books entirely by hand. The firm remains under the ownership of the Bayntun-Coward family, who also deal in rare and first-edition books from the same building.
