Glasgow Wood is a furniture-making workshop and registered charity based in the Barclay Curle complex on South Street, on the western edge of the city near Scotstoun. It builds bespoke furniture and structures, from dining tables and bookcases to raised beds and outdoor benches, using reclaimed and salvaged timber rather than new-cut wood. The team offers a full design service, working from an initial consultation through to fabrication and installation, and also collects and resells reclaimed timber and boards from its own stock. Beyond commissioned work, the organisation has taken on public projects, including furniture and structures for a wellbeing garden at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. As a charity, it also runs a volunteering programme, giving people hands-on experience of woodworking and timber reuse alongside the paid workshop team. The shop and yard are open six days a week.
