Hundred Acre Kitchen operates from a shepherd's hut off the A518 on Wellington Road, Newport, run by Neil and Susanna Harley, who farm 780 acres at Cheswell Grange nearby. The cafe has served breakfast rolls, burgers and cakes since 2020, using beef and eggs produced on the Harleys' own farm, bacon and sausage from Maynards Farm in Shrewsbury and bread from Catherine's Bakery in Newport. Because the hut sits on agricultural land, the business needed temporary planning permission to trade, granted for two years in December 2022; when the Harleys applied in November 2024 to keep it open permanently, the application drew an unusually large number of supportive comments from regular customers. It remains open Wednesday to Sunday mornings into early afternoon, closing when the day's hot food runs out.
