Michael Harris founded the studio in 1973 at St Lawrence on the island's south coast, moving it to its current home at Arreton Barns in 2013. His son Timothy Harris, a QEST Scholar, now runs the workshop as master glassmaker. A free viewing area lets visitors watch the team work without booking, and every piece sold in the attached shop is handmade and unique, from simple mementoes to one-off collector's pieces. Visitors can also book a hands-on session: a beginner course running from an hour up to five days teaches up to six people to make a small object such as a paperweight, while a longer intermediate course for those with prior experience sends participants home with three hand-blown pieces such as vases, bowls or perfume bottles. The studio welcomes dogs, offers free parking, and ships finished pieces worldwide.
