Adilia Frazao trained as a baker in Portugal, came to Britain in 2005, and in 2012 reopened the little shop on Norfolk Street — premises that have traded as a bakery, by the shop's own account, since 1868. The pastéis de nata made her name in a city that previously had to fly to Lisbon for them, the sourdough and the Portuguese savouries hold the rest of the counter, and a second shop by the station, disclosed here, catches the commuters. The Indie Cambridge directory lists it under 'Adilia's', which is how the neighbourhood actually says it — the surest sign an immigrant baker has become local infrastructure.
