Parc y Bocs Farm Shop began in 2005 as a roadside honesty box selling free-range eggs from a smallholding on the edge of Kidwelly, bought that year by veterinary surgeon John Burns MBE, founder of the pet food company Burns Pet Nutrition. The business has grown into a single-site farm shop and café on Carmarthen Road, stocking Welsh meat, dairy and other produce sourced chiefly from Carmarthenshire suppliers alongside eggs from its own hens. A café on site serves meals through the day using produce from the shop's shelves. The honesty-box origins are still told to customers near the entrance. Parc y Bocs trades from this one Kidwelly address only, with no branches elsewhere in Wales.
