The BoatHouse B&B

Jane and Keith run The Boat House, an adults-only bed and breakfast at 1 Gosport Street in Laugharne, a short walk from Dylan Thomas's Boathouse and the town's castle. The property looks over the Taf estuary and offers a handful of individually decorated rooms, named Scarlet, Purple, Olive and Blue, with some looking towards the castle. Breakfast is cooked to order using locally sourced ingredients and included in the room rate. Well-behaved dogs are welcome, though a number of the rooms have windows that do not open, which the owners flag at the time of booking. Check-in runs from three in the afternoon and check-out is by eleven the next morning. Laugharne's walking trails, castle grounds and handful of independent places to eat are all within easy reach on foot, making a car unnecessary once guests have arrived.
