Aaron Petersen runs a family forge at The Croft in St Clears with his wife Trudi and daughter Pearl, trading as A & T Petersen and Ferric Fusion. Aaron trained as a blacksmith under his father David Petersen and later worked at the Museum of Welsh Life at St Fagans before returning to West Wales. The forge runs one-day and weekend blacksmithing courses for beginners, who leave with several hand-forged items and the basics of shaping hot steel over an open fire. Aaron's own ironwork ranges from small domestic pieces to larger sculptural commissions. The family also trades as Found & Seek, a shop in Carmarthen selling his ironwork alongside Pearl's hand-decorated candles, Trudi's illustrated cards and a curated stock of work by other Welsh makers, vintage pieces and antiques. Course places are limited and often book up weeks ahead.
